Adding human interest to a business blog can only grow business, but also create a relationship with viewers. Adding personal touches to your posts is very situational. There may be some cases where all your posts are personal; such as a person running a blog as a business, or a service based company such as photography where the author can write about their most recent shoots. However it might not always acceptable to add personal touches. A medical blog whose focus is to announce new products might not be the best place to tell a long story which might deter readers.
